Terms of Service

Welcome to Real Estate Artisan ("Platform"). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

By creating an account, paying a connection fee, or purchasing credits, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

"Client" means a registered user seeking to hire an Artisan for technical or engineering services.
"Artisan" means a registered user offering technical or engineering services on the Platform.
"Credits" means the digital tokens purchased by Artisans required to appear in search results and receive client leads.
"Connection Fee" means the ₦500 fee paid by Clients to unlock an Artisan's contact information.
"Connection" means the 48-hour period granted to a Client to view and use an Artisan's phone number after paying the Connection Fee.

2. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Artisan Specific Terms

3.1 Verification

To receive leads, you must undergo our verification process, which includes submitting valid identification and trade documents.
Verification does not guarantee you will receive clients; it only grants visibility in search results when other conditions (online status, credits) are met.

3.2 Credit System

Credits are a tool to grant you visibility and access to client leads. They are non-refundable and expire only when used.
One (1) Credit is deducted from your balance each time a Client pays the Connection Fee to access your contact details.
If your Credit balance reaches zero, your profile will automatically be hidden from Client search results until you purchase more Credits.
Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.

Important Earnings Disclaimer

Real Estate Artisan does NOT guarantee that purchasing Credits will result in job engagements or earnings. You are purchasing the opportunity to receive leads, not a guaranteed outcome. We are not an employer, and Clients are not your employees.

4. Client Specific Terms

4.1 The Connection Fee

The ₦500 Connection Fee is a platform access fee charged to reveal an Artisan's contact information.
This fee acts as a seriousness filter to ensure Artisans only receive leads from committed users.
The Connection Fee is paid directly to the Platform, NOT to the Artisan.

4.2 Access Duration

Paying the Connection Fee grants you 48 hours of access to the Artisan's phone number.
After 48 hours, the access expires. To regain access, you must pay the Connection Fee again, which will deduct an additional Credit from the Artisan.
If you attempt to pay while you still have active access, the system will block the payment and you will not be charged twice.

5. User Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree NOT to:

Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users.
Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or location.
Attempt to bypass the Connection Fee or Credit system through technical manipulation.
Share your account credentials or transfer your account to another person.
Solicit users to move transactions off the Platform to evade safety measures.
Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.

6. Payments & Fees

All payments are processed securely through Paystack. We do not store your card details.
Connection Fees (₦500): Are strictly non-refundable once the Artisan's contact information has been displayed to you.
Credit Purchases: Are non-refundable once added to your Artisan wallet balance.
Prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are subject to change with prior notice.
You are responsible for any mobile network or bank charges associated with your transactions.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

Independent Contractors: Artisans are independent contractors. Real Estate Artisan is not a party to any contract for services between you and an Artisan. We do not employ, supervise, or control Artisans.
No Guarantee of Quality: We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any work performed by Artisans. You acknowledge that hiring an Artisan is done at your own risk.
No Guarantee of Earnings: For Artisans, we do not guarantee that purchasing Credits will result in Client hires or financial gain.
No Liability for Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Real Estate Artisan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or personal injury arising from your use of the Platform or interactions with other users.
As-Is Basis: The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Platform's uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Real Estate Artisan, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, trademarks, and software on the Platform are the property of Rea Estate Artisan.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Platform without our explicit written consent.
By posting content (reviews, photos, profiles), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.

9. Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
Unused Credits are forfeited upon permanent account termination for Terms violations.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
